EZ Writer for GBメモリ – It would be this first personal transfer for a GAME BOY memory cartridge?… who knows!

When I got my GBメモリ memory cartridge, the first question was… How can I access memory/rom and manipulate the data?. After two (2) hours surfing the net i got this:

BINGO!! a kind of USB transfer but made it for GBx and called EZ writer jump into my eyes…WOW I will order one right now BUT…EZ writers are discontinued and really HARD to FIND . Two days ago after the first investigation I found this: http://mootan.hg.to/fmgbx/ez_fmgbx.html (sorry japanese site but you can translate the site with the google translate service). I sent a letter to this guy and I got a sad email “sorry man I can’t sell you one EZ writer, they are really hard to find these days”

At this point I decided to stop my personal research… Until I discovered this: http://ayasuke.exblog.jp/10979597/ and… this: http://www.smartboy.ugu.pl/index.html

I ordered one SMART BOY cart to test this cartridge made by the SMB team and also because their kind of EZ writer will works with my GBメモリ memory cartridge . I will post another review showing you the flashing process…can’t wait!

   I just wondered if you managed to program your GBメモリ cartridge using the SMART BOY cartridge writer? Would be great to hear more about it if you were successful. PS Love the site

   Hi Robert… bad news!! . The SMARTBOY writer failed trying to read the GBx cartridge. The orginal software called FLASH MANAGER couldn’t load properly.

   At this point I don’t know what to do. Is really hard to find an original EZ writer.

   Sorry to hear that it did not work but thanks for letting me know. Maybe Mootan could update ‘FlashManager for GBx’ software to support SMARTBOY writer aswell?
   Also, I would like to get a GBメモリ cartridge aswell, do you have any suggestions where I could buy one and how much they are to buy?

   Buenas… Hace unos meses, casi un año me puse en contacto contigo para resolver alguna duda ke me habia surgido empezando con esta afición a los videjuegos antiguos y así. Desaparecí, porke he estado viajando, y ahora ke he vuelto me gustaría retomarlo donde lo dejé. Necesito un programador para descargar las imagenes de mi “Game Boy Camera”. Serviría este mismo, o sabes donde podría comprar uno? Gracias.

   Perdón si esta duda no debería estar akí, pero no se me ocurría un lugar mejor.

   Pero pusieron unas 20 unidades hace una semana o más y volaron… ecríbeles para que te avisen cuando colocarán más a la venta.
